There is so much clutter today that sometimes the message of “having a personal relationship with Jesus” gets lost in the noise. Being a Christian today isn’t easy but that doesn’t mean it’s complicated.

Being a Christian is the same as it’s always been: knowing Jesus personally.

If you want to really know somebody you must spend time with them. We spend time with Jesus by taking the time to pray, read the Bible and go to church. As you discipline yourself to do those three things IN FAITH, Jesus WILL speak to you, guide you and take care of you.

The reason being a Christian isn’t easy is because of the warfare that is going on for your soul by the world, the flesh and the devil.

The world system of doing things doesn’t want God. It is based on selfishness and pride (two things that God hates).

Your own flesh also fights against you. When it’s time to read the Bible or go to church the flesh says “I’m tired!” The flesh only cares about what it wants. Food, comfort, sex and fun.

The devil is a liar, he wants you to doubt God. He is always telling you what God says won’t work for you. He is also the accuser. He will accuse you of all your sins and weaknesses and tell you the lie that God could never love you.

Jesus took 3 nails on the cross on for the world, one for the flesh and one for the devil.
